Finals

Wednesday and Thursday were final exam days at school. English was easy, I only needed a 46% to maintain an A anyway. The quality of the chemistry final was disappointing however. I knew it would be easy, but I was expecting some sort of minor challenge. I finished in 25 minutes, then completely checked my work and turned it in. The chemistry final ranked easier than a P.E. final. Latin was similarly easy, being the translation into English of Chapter 7 (holidays) which I had already completed.

On Thursday, I started out with Interdisciplinary Studies, which was fine except for the essay part. We had 25 minutes to write an essay, and I was writing until the last second. There isn't much worth mentioning about history or physics, both were pretty easy as well. For winter break, I'm hoping to get ahead a few chapters in Latin, learn more Norwegian, and work on this site more. You may notice the little advertisement-style images underneath the poll. Those are links to other sites I have. Click them :)

What Latin book do you use in your Latin class? We use Ecce Romani (Look! Romans! AAH!)

I used that book my first year. I was (and still am) very frustrated that when the Cornelii carriage fell in the ditch, the picture showed like 8 people standing around and they didn't even try to pull it out themselves :). Anyway, for the last 2 years my school has been using Latin for Americans. Possibly this is affected by having not seen Ecce Romani for two years, but I like Latin for Americans much better. I'm on the second book right now, and in 4 more chapters I get to learn the subjunctive mood (I'm happy about that). The two series presented grammar concepts in different orders as well.
