Academic Decathlon Scores I received my Academic Decathlon scores today. Here's how I did:
Overall, I came in 5th for the Honors students on my team. I was the top scorer in math (hooray!). I think I would have done better on my essay if one judge was able to read it. She wrote "spelling!" even though *every single word* was spelled correctly. Re: Academic Decathlon Scores 29 November 2002 05:01 BullFrogGreat job Mr. Math Wiz! (Or is it spelled "whiz"?) Hmm... Re: Re: Academic Decathlon Scores 05 December 2002 20:20 slimey_limeyIt is spelled 'whiz'. Re: Academic Decathlon Scores 29 November 2002 14:52 Markwhiz, I believe sample 29 November 2002 20:35 TheJollyMonMaybe you should post a handwriting sample on the site and have a poll to see if it is legible. Or better yet, make it a font! Nerditia ITC... Re: sample 29 November 2002 21:15 Michael VincentWell at http://michael.detachedsolutions.com/notes.gif I uploaded a sample last year. That's my worst handwriting though, so it is usually much better than that. ouch 30 November 2002 04:05 TheJollyMonthat was pretty bad. hopefully it's normally better than that. and alot of michael.detachedsolutions.com doesn't work. Re: ouch 05 December 2002 20:24 slimey_limeyI got a 404 after being redirected. Re: Re: ouch 06 December 2002 01:58 TheJollyMonme2 Re: Re: sample 05 December 2002 20:22 slimey_limeyMine is worse, but in other ways. I don't seperate my words, and my y looks like s or numeral five. Re: Academic Decathlon Scores 01 December 2002 07:12 Torael_7my GOD that handwriting is horrible.
You still write in cursive? I dropped it years ago, in...oh, sixth grade, when it was no longer required.
Anyway, my writing for notes is about the same. Race across the page, makes it pretty messy. Of course, it also makes a fairly effective form of encryption, since no one else on the planet can read it :-D 0_o Re: Re: Academic Decathlon Scores 05 December 2002 20:23 slimey_limeyI agree completely, especially about that cursive part. Re: Academic Decathlon Scores 03 December 2002 03:06 hart326What parameters were set for the essay part? Could your topic be about anything? How was it graded? Re: Re: Academic Decathlon Scores 03 December 2002 03:50 Michael VincentWe were given 3 topics to choose from, all relating to subjects that we studied. The total time available was 50 minutes to read the topics, select one, and write the essay. I don't have the grading rubric with me to check the categories, but I'm pretty sure it's the usual stuff. Re: Academic Decathlon Scores 03 December 2002 20:49 hart326It sounds like a DBQ for history class except you have a broader range of topics to choose from. BUY A CARNATION!!! 03 December 2002 22:16 niqueread the subject.. enough said. |
